At the turn of the millennium, Alba gave the cocktail watch a dose of pure pop romance. A softly textured champagne dial sits inside a tiny oval case, pared back to dot markers and slender gold tone hands so the bracelet can hold the attention. The restrained face makes the coloured sparkle around it feel deliberate rather than sweet.
Glitter filled circles run into heart shaped links above and below the case, each one framed in polished gold tone metal and articulated for movement on the wrist. At 14.5mm wide, it is unmistakably jewellery first: playful with denim and knitwear, sharper beside a black dress, and exactly the sort of small Japanese design that becomes difficult to replace once it disappears.
