The HIRSCH Lizard Classic is made from first-class genuine lizard leather with dense, pearl-like scales. In brown, the finely structured surface has a rich natural depth and a polished finish that feels especially at home on elegant, delicately proportioned watches.
Its flat construction keeps the silhouette slim beside a smaller case, while the supple HIRSCH lining leather sits comfortably against the wrist. The result is refined and expressive without adding visual weight.

Why we selected the Lizard Classic in brown
Few strap textures work as naturally with a small watch as genuine lizard. The close-set scales remain finely proportioned beside a delicate case, while their natural variation gives the surface depth that a flat polished leather cannot reproduce.
Brown softens the formality of the glossy finish. It sits beautifully beside yellow gold and gold-tone cases, warms stainless steel, and complements white, cream, champagne, silver, black and mother-of-pearl dials. The effect is luxurious, but never loud.

Choose the exact attachment width
Measure the inside distance between the watch lugs in millimetres. The selected attachment width must match this measurement exactly. The Lizard Classic offered here is HIRSCH Medium length, with a 70 mm buckle side and a 110 mm tail side.

Match the width
A 12 mm lug opening requires the 12 mm strap. Do not size up or compress a wider strap.

Quick Release fitting requires conventional open lugs with removable spring bars.

Material and care
Natural scales, individual character
This strap is made from genuine lizard leather rather than calf leather embossed with a lizard pattern. Small variations in scale shape, colour and texture are natural, so each strap may differ subtly from the product photographs.
The shiny surface may develop light creasing around the buckle as it is worn; this is normal and does not affect the quality of the strap. Avoid showering, swimming and prolonged moisture. Keep perfume, sunscreen and hand cream away from the leather where possible, then allow the strap to air naturally after wear.

How do I choose the correct attachment width?
Measure the clear internal distance between the watch lugs in millimetres and select the exact matching width. A 12 mm lug opening requires a 12 mm strap.
Is this genuine lizard leather or an embossed pattern?
It is genuine lizard leather with naturally dense, pearl-like scales. It is not calf leather embossed to imitate lizard.
Will every strap have exactly the same scale pattern?
No. Lizard leather is a natural material, so slight differences in scale shape, colour and texture are expected and make each strap individual.
Does the strap include a buckle and spring bars?
Yes. The strap is supplied with a gold-tone HIRSCH Tradition pin buckle and integrated HIRSCH Quick Release spring bars.
Do I need a strap-changing tool?
A separate tool is generally not required on compatible watches. The small lever underneath each Quick Release spring bar allows it to be compressed by hand.
Will Quick Release work with every watch?
No. The watch must have conventional open lugs and use removable spring bars. Quick Release is not suitable for fixed-bar watches, integrated bracelets or proprietary fittings.
