Lassale was Seiko’s design-driven luxury sub-brand from the 1980s, created to rival the sleek minimalism of European dress watches with ultra-thin quartz movements and sculptural aesthetics, almost like a ticking work of art. It represented Seiko’s most refined expression of style and form during that era, often blurring the line between watch and jewellery. While Lassale defined Seiko’s artistic ambition in the quartz age, that high-end design philosophy is now carried forward and surpassed by the Credor brand.
