This Mikimoto Multi-Form watch treats the dial as part of a small piece of jewellery. A square gold-tone watch head sits above a clear display compartment containing five loose pearls, each free to move and catch the light. The mother-of-pearl dial has a soft, shifting surface behind its spare gold-tone hands and applied Mikimoto emblem, while the five pearls bring gentle movement and texture to the composition.
Its original tan embossed leather strap wraps twice around the wrist, turning the watch into an accessory with the presence of a fine bracelet. Signed hardware, the engraved strap interior and a petite floral-and-pearl charm complete the design with the considered details Mikimoto is known for. The removable Multi-Form construction also allows the watch head to be restyled on an alternative compatible strap.
