Seiko Exceline Golden Roman Mother of Pearl Woman's Watch

This piece always makes me stop when curating our pieces. The level of fine craftsmanship and well implemented decorations are so tasteful. If this piece has the Patek Philipe logo, the watch world would be screaming about how it's the best thing since sliced bread.

The case is an opulent gold tone with a beautifully worked bezel: a textured, almost hand-engraved surface framed by a neat beaded edge, reminiscent of the wreath worn by victorious Roman Caesars. Underneath the finely crafted wreath is a coin bezel. The sculpted lugs dip elegantly away from the case, giving the whole watch a lifted, graceful stance on the wrist. The coin details continues to the underside decorating the caseback.

On the dial, a soft pearly white surface catches the light with a subtle mother-of-pearl sheen. Slender applied Roman numerals circle the edge, all in matching gold, with fine leaf-style hands and a central seconds hand to keep it lively. The hands are also done in a unique spade shape. The details don't stop there, Seiko also crowns this piece with a beautiful domed sapphire crystal as if putting a coronet on this piece.

A small black cabochon in the crown gives a discreet jewellery note, like a tiny onyx bead tucked at the side while the slim black leather strap grounds everything and makes the watch instantly wearable with anything from a silk blouse to a simple tee.
