Integrated bracelet

This early Seiko Presage treats the bezel as part of the dial. Black Roman numerals circle a bright silver sunray centre, where small gold tone triangles mark the hours and a framed date window sits neatly at six. The arrangement is graphic and highly legible, balanced by a warm gold tone case and crown.

Its bracelet is unusually architectural, built from polished silver tone blocks joined by gold tone cross links. That strong geometry gives the watch more presence than its 28 mm case suggests and makes it especially effective with crisp shirting, tailored trousers and a restrained jewellery stack.
